The Eritrean Community Cultural and Development Center (ECCDC) serves a vibrant community of over 3,000 Eritrean-Americans living in Santa Clara County. Our wide range of programs is designed to enhance quality of life while supporting successful integration into the broader society.
We offer daily social and recreational activities for seniors, creating spaces for connection, enjoyment, and community spirit. Our Adal Language School provides weekly classes in Tigrigna, helping to preserve and pass down our rich linguistic heritage to future generations.
Our youth sports programs currently include soccer for children aged 5 to 18, promoting physical health, teamwork, and confidence. We plan to expand these offerings soon to include basketball and track and field.
ECCDC also provides essential support to Eritrean immigrants as they adjust to their new environment, offering guidance on education, employment, healthcare, and more. We actively engage in civic participation, ensuring that our community’s voice is heard in local and state elections.
Through all these efforts, ECCDC is dedicated to empowering the Eritrean-American community by fostering cultural pride and helping members thrive in their American lives.
