ECCDCSJ offers a wide range of services designed to support, educate, and bring together our community. Our programs serve Eritrean-Americans of every generation in San Jose and the surrounding areas.

Elderly Social & Entertainment

ECCDCSJ offers a variety of socializing and entertainment activities for the elderly. These programs are designed to promote social interaction, physical activity, and mental stimulation among the elderly population.

Adal Language School

ECCDCSJ operates the Adal Language School, which provides weekly Tigrigna language classes for Eritrean children and youth. The school aims to preserve the Eritrean language and culture among the younger generation.

Youth Programs

ECCDCSJ has a youth soccer program for children ages 5 to 18, providing opportunities for physical activity, teamwork, and personal growth. The center also has plans to expand its sports programs to include basketball and track and field in the near future. Our Youth Programs also offer tutoring and academic support for school-age children, plus college mentorship to help young people prepare for higher education and plan their futures.

Immigrant Support Services

ECCDCSJ provides support and assistance to Eritrean immigrants in San Jose on a variety of issues, including education, employment, and healthcare. The center helps newcomers navigate the challenges of settling into a new country and integrating into American society.

Civic Participation

ECCDCSJ encourages civic participation among Eritrean-Americans in San Jose, promoting voter registration, community advocacy, and engagement with local government. The center aims to empower community members to have a voice in shaping policies and decisions that affect their lives.
