Services

The Eritrean Community Cultural and Development Center (ECCDC) serves a vibrant community of over 3,000 Eritrean-Americans in Santa Clara County. Our services are comprehensive and designed to enhance the quality of life and integration of our community members into the wider society. We provide daily socializing and entertainment activities for the elderly, fostering a sense of belonging and community spirit. Through our Language School, we offer weekly classes in the native Eritrean Tigrigna language, ensuring the preservation and transmission of our rich linguistic heritage to future generations. Our sports programs, currently including soccer for children aged 5 to 18, encourage physical activity and teamwork, with plans to expand to basketball and track & field. We are committed to supporting Eritrean immigrants as they navigate their new environment, offering guidance in areas such as education, employment, and healthcare. Additionally, ECCDC actively participates in public services, ensuring our community’s representation and voice in city and state elections. Through these diverse services, ECCDC aims to empower the Eritrean-American community, promoting cultural continuity and successful integration into American society.
